Why PDF2atom exists
Every major free PDF tool on the web uploads your files to its servers. Even when they encrypt the transfer and promise to delete after processing, you have to trust their policy. For a tax document, a passport scan, a bank statement, or a contract draft, that trust is often more than people want to extend.
PDF2atom is built differently. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript
libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, tesseract.js). Your
file never touches our servers — there is no upload, no temporary storage, no "deletion
policy" to read. You can open your browser's DevTools, watch the Network tab, and verify
for yourself: nothing leaves your device.
What we offer
- Merge, split, compress, rotate, crop — the everyday edits that make PDFs easier to share.
- Convert to and from PDF — JPG, PNG, Word, Excel, HEIC, WebP, and more. Browse all tools.
- Sign and fill forms — add signatures and complete fillable PDFs without third-party access.
- OCR scanned PDFs — extract text from image-based PDFs using on-device Tesseract.
Every tool is free, requires no signup, adds no watermark, and has no daily usage limit.
How we make money
We run non-intrusive ads on the page (not inside your file). We never sell user data, because we do not collect any. Our ad partner is Google AdSense, with strict rules about ad placement and format — see our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and tracking used by our ads.
We do not have a paid tier, premium features, or any plan to introduce them. If a tool is on the site, every user gets the same experience.
What we don't do
- We do not upload, store, scan, or analyze your files.
- We do not require account signup for any tool.
- We do not sell user data — we have nothing to sell.
- We do not provide tools to crack PDF passwords or remove DRM. If you own the password, our Unlock PDF tool can use it; we do not break encryption on documents you do not have access to.
- We do not add watermarks, branding, or modify your file metadata.
