Stamp a diagonal text watermark across every page of your PDF — CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, your company name, or any short text. The watermark is semi-transparent light gray so content remains readable underneath. Everything happens in your browser; your file is never uploaded.
How to use
- Select a PDF — it stays on your device.
- Type your watermark text (default: CONFIDENTIAL).
- Click Add Watermark and download the stamped PDF.

Keep watermark text short and readable. Long text can cover too much of the page, especially on small receipts, scanned IDs, or dense contracts. Before sharing, open the result and make sure the watermark marks the file clearly without hiding amounts, dates, signatures, or reference numbers.
Important — watermarks are not security
A text watermark is a visual marker, not encryption. Anyone with the PDF can still read, copy, or edit the content. For actual protection, use password protection (coming soon).
Privacy and file safety
Your PDF stays in your browser. The watermark is drawn locally with pdf-lib. PDF2atom does not upload, store, or analyze your document.

Can I change the watermark position?
The current version stamps the watermark diagonally across the center of each page. Custom positions and image watermarks may be added in a future update.
Is the watermark removable?
The watermark is drawn into the PDF content layer, so it cannot be removed without PDF editing software. However, it is not a cryptographic protection.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. PDF2atom never receives your file.
What font is used for the watermark?
Helvetica Bold, which is embedded in every PDF reader. The text is light gray and semi-transparent for readability.
