Edit PDF metadata online
Change the document information stored inside a PDF, including title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, and creation date. The edited PDF is generated in your browser and downloaded as a new file.
How to use the PDF metadata editor
- Select a PDF and let the tool read the current document information.
- Edit the fields you want to update, such as the title, author, or keywords.
- Save metadata and download the updated PDF.
Metadata is useful for organizing archives, search results, and document management systems, but it is not the same as visible page content. After saving, open the PDF properties in your usual viewer and confirm that the title, author, subject, and keywords match the version you intend to share.
Privacy and limits
Your PDF stays on your device. Metadata editing runs locally with pdf-lib. This tool updates common PDF info fields, but it is not a forensic metadata scrubber and does not remove all hidden objects or visible content.
