    Pages to remove

    No PDF loaded yet

Use commas for separate pages, hyphens for ranges, and an open range like 10- to remove through the last page.

A new PDF is created. Your original file is never changed, and the tool will not delete every page.

How to delete pages from a PDF

    1. Select one PDF. The file is read locally in your browser and is not uploaded to PDF2atom.
    2. Enter the pages to remove. Use single page numbers, ranges, or a mix such as 2, 5-7, 10-.
    3. Create and download a new PDF. The selected pages are removed from an in-memory copy while your original file stays unchanged.

    Page range examples

    • 2 removes only page 2.
    • 5-7 removes pages 5, 6, and 7.
    • 1, 4, 9 removes several individual pages.
    • 2-4, 8 combines a page range with a single page.
    • 10- removes page 10 through the end of the document.

Common reasons to remove PDF pages

Deleting unnecessary pages can make a document easier to review and share. You may need to remove blank scanner pages, outdated instructions, duplicate attachments, separator sheets, irrelevant contract exhibits, or personal pages before sending a PDF to another person.

This tool is useful when a portal accepts one PDF but only needs part of the original packet. Remove pages that do not belong in the submission, then review the downloaded result before uploading it. For a document that needs only selected pages rather than the original minus a few pages, use Extract Pages from PDF.

Your original PDF is not overwritten

The browser creates a separate output file named with a pages-removed suffix. The source PDF on your device remains unchanged. The tool also refuses to delete every page because a valid PDF must keep at least one page. Always open the downloaded file and verify page numbers, signatures, exhibits, and other important content before sharing it.

    What the tool preserves

Remaining pages keep their existing page size, orientation, text, images, and most document content supported by pdf-lib. Printed page numbers inside the page artwork are not renumbered. Bookmarks, links, forms, signatures, and advanced PDF features can refer to removed pages or change after editing, so important business or legal documents should be reviewed carefully.

Review the PDF after removing pages

Deleting pages changes the document sequence. A reference such as “see page 12” may point to a different page afterward, while printed page numbers and table-of-contents text remain unchanged. Open the downloaded PDF and move through it from beginning to end. Check that headings, signatures, attachments, and required supporting pages still appear in the intended order.

Scanned documents deserve extra attention because blank reverse sides, separator sheets, and faint pages can be easy to confuse in a long packet. Before submitting the edited file, compare its total against the expected count with the PDF Page Counter.

Removing pages is appropriate when unwanted content can simply disappear. If the remaining material needs to become several separate documents, use Split PDF instead. If you need a small selection copied into one new document, Extract Pages from PDF is usually faster and reduces the chance of entering a long deletion range.

    Privacy and security

Your PDF stays in your browser. PDF2atom uses JavaScript and pdf-lib to remove selected pages locally. We do not upload, store, inspect, or analyze the source PDF or the downloaded result. No PDF2atom watermark is added.

Password-locked PDFs must first be unlocked using a password you know. This tool does not crack passwords or bypass document security. If the document contains sensitive information, confirm that the removed content is truly absent from the downloaded copy before distributing it.

    Frequently asked questions

Does deleting pages change my original PDF?

No. The original file on your device is not overwritten. The tool creates a separate PDF containing only the pages that remain.

Can I delete several page ranges at once?

Yes. Enter individual pages and ranges together, such as 2, 5-7, 12. Duplicate page numbers are ignored.

Can I delete every page from a PDF?

No. A valid output PDF needs at least one page, so the tool stops and asks you to choose fewer pages.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The source PDF is read and edited locally in your browser with JavaScript and pdf-lib. PDF2atom does not receive or store it.

Will printed page numbers be updated?

No. Page numbers printed inside the page content remain unchanged. Add or edit page numbering separately after removing pages if needed.

What is the practical file size limit?

Processing depends on available browser memory. For reliable performance, keep files under about 50 MB and close unused tabs before editing large PDFs.

Can I remove pages from a password-protected PDF?

Fully password-locked files must first be unlocked using a password you know. PDF2atom does not bypass or crack PDF passwords.
